Privacy Policy
Small Cat Factory is based in Croatia and makes the Hilltop Duel game (the "Game"). This policy explains what happens to information when you play it. You can reach us at [email protected].
In short: the Game collects no personal data. It has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not send anything to us. Your progress and settings stay on your device.
What stays on your device
The Game saves the following on your device so it can remember where you are:
- your progress: campaign stages won, challenge stars, and which levels are open;
- whether you have unlocked the full game;
- your settings, such as graphics quality, sound and music volume;
- the graphics settings the Game picked for your device, together with the name of the device's graphics chip, so it can choose suitable settings the next time it starts.
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the Game, or clearing its storage in your device settings, deletes it.
No internet, no account, no permissions
The Game plays offline. It does not ask you to sign in, does not show advertising, and does not include any analytics, advertising or tracking software. It does not ask for access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.
Purchases
The full game is an optional one-time purchase. If you buy it or restore it, the purchase is handled by the app store you got the Game from (Google Play, or Apple's App Store where the Game is available there). The store processes the payment and gives the Game the product, transaction and ownership information it needs to complete and restore the purchase. We do not receive your payment card details. For our accounting, refunds and tax obligations, the store gives us order records such as the order number, product, price, date and country. The store's own terms and privacy policy govern its processing.
Statistics from the app store
Google Play and Apple give developers statistics about their apps, such as install counts and, from people who chose to share diagnostics with Google or Apple, crash and performance reports. We use these to fix problems and improve the Game. They come from the store under its own privacy policy, not from the Game, and we do not use them to identify you.
When you contact us
If you email us, we use your email address, your message and anything you choose to send so we can answer you. We keep the correspondence only as long as we need it to help you and to meet legal obligations. Please do not send us sensitive personal information.
Legal bases, sharing and transfers
Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we process information to perform our contract with you (your purchase and the support you ask for), for our legitimate interest in keeping the Game working and improving it (store statistics), or to meet legal obligations (order records). We do not sell or share personal data for advertising. Information may be disclosed to the app store as the payment provider, to our email provider when you write to us, and to authorities when the law requires it. These providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area, using legally recognised safeguards where required.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to information about, access to, correction, deletion or portability of your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email [email protected] to use any of these rights. Because the Game keeps your progress and settings only on your device, we cannot see or delete them remotely: uninstall the Game or clear its storage to delete them.
Children
The Game collects no personal information from anyone, including children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has emailed us personal information can contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If the Game, its providers or the law change, we may update this policy. We will change the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, give notice in the Game or its store listing. If the Game ever starts to collect personal data, this policy will say so before it does.
